Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Vanooteghem to make the kick off. A collision led to Sinsin getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Daniel Dalkvist hit a great ball. Gust Ennemans kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Bavo Van Eeckhout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 75th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Sinsin got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Majkowski. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Bavo Van Eeckhout however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bavo Van Eeckhout breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sinsin's Bavo Van Eeckhout got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got free with Bavo Van Eeckhout in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sinsin.
