But to his dismay, Elia Pietrantoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Balazs Lajos notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Eurospeed Asti's Damiano Battisti. Damiano Battisti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Damiano Battisti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balazs Lajos in the 16th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Antal Valentin put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Damiano Battisti. Eurospeed Asti's Damiano Battisti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Eurospeed Asti's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Damiano Battisti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Pinti. A collision led to Eurospeed Asti getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ettore Masciarelli hit a great ball. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elia Pietrantoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elia Pietrantoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Battisti having to interfere. Antonello Tofani hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Eurospeed Asti booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boros Benedek didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 played minutes, Eurospeed Asti's Fortunato Borromeo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fodor Daniel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eurospeed Asti reached it. After 58 played minutes Eurospeed Asti got a freekick which was hit by Ettore Masciarelli. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Eurospeed Asti's Damiano Battisti got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eurospeed Asti's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Major Barna scored to the left of an out of position Damiano Battisti, making the score, 2-4. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Damiano Battisti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elia Pietrantoni in the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Eurospeed Asti throughout the match.
