Elvio Christobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beat Hagenbuch in the 24th minute of play. Ceferino Gorosti hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Elvio Christobal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hilario Tono scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnold Steward, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnold Steward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Gorosti in the 36th minute of play. After 41 minutes FC Stadtclub's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ceferino Gorosti who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ceferino Gorosti almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Stadtclub's Arnold Steward did a great save. Beat Hagenbuch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Elvio Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beat Hagenbuch was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Fiere FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Tono to maneuver through the defense. When Severiano Tauro fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fiere FC's protests and gave Severiano Tauro a yellow card for diving instead. Romero Affolter kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Elvio Christobal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beat Hagenbuch, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Fiere FC's Elvio Christobal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beat Hagenbuch in the 76th minute of play. If Beat Hagenbuch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Beat Hagenbuch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvio Christobal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After 80 minutes Fiere FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tobias Caron who took care of the corner kick. Horatio Tobler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romero Affolter in the 83rd minute of play forced Fiere FC's goalkeeper Elvio Christobal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiere FC's Denis Ermengol got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Matthias Vrijdags was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Stadtclub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fiere FC the free kick. The supporters of Fiere FC booed when FC Stadtclub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Vrijdags didn't get a good kick on the ball. With splendid footwork Denis Ermengol arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-2 by the left pole in the game's 94th minute. The Fiere FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
