Zafer İlyas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justin Bulić in the 7th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Dragan Jojić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. novi pazar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave beşiktaş the free kick. After 11 played minutes, beşiktaş's İlyas Tuğser shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Đorđe Zagorac came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in beşiktaş reached it. Ahmet Orhan Toregün fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đorđe Zagorac having to interfere. After a rather tough play, novi pazar's Dragan Jojić got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Ahmet Orhan Toregün mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the beşiktaş and the novi pazar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes beşiktaş got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Orhan Toregün. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danilo Jelenić in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zafer İlyas saved beşiktaş from getting behind. Zafer İlyas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danilo Jelenić went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Đorđe Zagorac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Orhan Toregün, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Saša Mujić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Zafer İlyas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Danilo Jelenić came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the novi pazar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Jelenić couldn't finish the play. In the 44thth minute of the game Miloš Mijatović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but beşiktaş's Zafer İlyas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 47 minutes, Jovan Nesterović mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the novi pazar and the beşiktaş players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jovan Nesterović kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half novi pazar were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miloš Mijatović made a kick off. Đorđe Zagorac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ataol Vefa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind beşiktaş's goalkeeper Zafer İlyas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Jovan Nesterović kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zafer İlyas. That made the score 0-3 in the 60 minute of play. beşiktaş's Zafer İlyas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miloš Mijatović in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of novi pazar booed when beşiktaş was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oğuzalp Kayra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jovan Nesterović blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zafer İlyas having to make a save. In the 70th minute, novi pazar's Miloš Mijatović ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zafer İlyas. Zafer İlyas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Lazar Živić took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Zafer İlyas to make any attempt to save it. Vedran Moravčić hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. With a little luck, beşiktaş's Zafer İlyas got control of the ball when Danilo Jelenić tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alpay Ağca hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slobodan Misević in the 89th minute of play forced beşiktaş's goalkeeper Zafer İlyas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zafer İlyas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miloš Mijatović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zafer İlyas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miloš Mijatović, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, novi pazar's Minja Vukmirović seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Minja Vukmirović the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of novi pazar protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Minja Vukmirović had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in novi pazar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. novi pazar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
