When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Gary Basterfield put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Zafer İlyas. Zafer İlyas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Beattie in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Pierre Hunter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Zafer İlyas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute, Gary Basterfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Orhan Toregün in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dale Prendergast, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, beşiktaş's Burhanettin Başol got a free kick in the 26th minute. Gary Basterfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zafer İlyas having to interfere. Zafer İlyas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Hunter, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Alpay Ağca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. beşiktaş's Zafer İlyas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Basterfield in the 32nd minute of play. Recep Tayyip Sufi took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dale Prendergast. Dale Prendergast dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 39 minutes into the match, Chiswick United's Pierre Hunter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zafer İlyas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to beşiktaş getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alpay Ağca hit a great ball. Jamal Pickford took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zafer İlyas. beşiktaş's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zafer İlyas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ray Beattie went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pierre Hunter was the one to do the kick off. Zafer İlyas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Hunter, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Zafer İlyas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Partridge in the 62nd minute of play. Ahmet Orhan Toregün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Chiswick United's Zafer İlyas threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pierre Hunter, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74thth minute of the game Ahmet Orhan Toregün who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chiswick United's Dale Prendergast was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zafer İlyas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Partridge, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Adam Partridge recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zafer İlyas. Adam Partridge showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Zafer İlyas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gary Basterfield in the 85th minute. 90 minutes into the match, beşiktaş's goalkeeper Zafer İlyas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ray Beattie. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Orhan Toregün's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dale Prendergast was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. In the 96th minute, Adam Partridge reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zafer İlyas. The goal made the score 1-7.
