Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gregor McKichan took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Florian De Paolis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 minutes into the match, Andrea Testa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Stirling's Sean McEoin. Sean McEoin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the match, Starcom Roma's Florian De Paolis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sean McEoin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sean McEoin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea Testa in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, Starcom Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo De Santis to maneuver through the defense. Les Buntain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Starcom Roma's Cosimo Campana got a free kick in the 30th minute. Stirling's Les Buntain got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrea Testa in the 34th minute of play forced Stirling's goalkeeper Sean McEoin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian De Paolis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Starcom Roma's goalkeeper Enrico Nicolini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Les Buntain. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrea Testa to make the kick off. If Les Buntain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stirling's Sean McEoin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Stirling from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute, Andrea Testa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sean McEoin. The goal made the score 0-3. Cosimo Campana kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Florian De Paolis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Sean McEoin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gregor McKichan scored 1-3 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrico Nicolini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Florian De Paolis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Sean McEoin made a huge save. With his leg Sean McEoin managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Starcom Roma's Florian De Paolis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Starcom Roma booed when Stirling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Dowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosimo Campana got his second yellow card in the match during the 82nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Starcom Roma getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Cosimo Campana hit a great ball. Enrico Nicolini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregor McKichan in the 84th minute of play. Enrico Nicolini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Les Buntain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Stirling's zone, Florian De Paolis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean McEoin came out of the goal and Florian De Paolis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Quentin Meine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Les Buntain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stirling fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Starcom Roma walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
