The Argentinos Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 5 played minutes beşiktaş got a freekick which was hit by Oğuzalp Kayra. When Argentinos Juniors's Sven de Zwaan in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Burhanettin Başol during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Argentinos Juniors a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sven de Zwaan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of beşiktaş's Zafer İlyas. 2-0. beşiktaş's Zafer İlyas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Falch in the 19th minute of play. Argentinos Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leon Richie in the 20th minute. Argentinos Juniors's Leon Richie was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zafer İlyas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 23 minutes into the match, Eleuterio Milian notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of beşiktaş's Zafer İlyas. Zafer İlyas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petruț Fințescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sven de Zwaan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zafer İlyas having to interfere. Zafer İlyas made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Sven de Zwaan sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th minute, Petruț Fințescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zafer İlyas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After 33 minutes of play, Argentinos Juniors's Sven de Zwaan made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zafer İlyas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mats Falch might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zafer İlyas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Falch ran back to his position shaking his head. Zafer İlyas made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Petruț Fințescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute Sven de Zwaan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zafer İlyas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zafer İlyas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petruț Fințescu went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute, Petruț Fințescu made a precise shot to the right of Zafer İlyas. beşiktaş's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 15-0. Zafer İlyas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petruț Fințescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The Argentinos Juniors fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Argentinos Juniors's Sven de Zwaan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 16-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 96 minutes into the match, beşiktaş's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Gonzales came free, but Zafer İlyas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
