In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Major Barna made a precise shot to the right of Jaime Almeida. Corinthians's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şensoy Sualp to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Hegedus Henrik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaime Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cristiano Messi in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fodor Daniel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fred Royal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. In the 25th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Hegedus Henrik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jaime Almeida quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Kiril Biradzhiev kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Jaime Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 30th minute of play. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Fred Royal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Kiril Biradzhiev hit a great ball. Cristiano Messi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Fodor Daniel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Corinthians's Natã Pirani was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fodor Daniel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 48 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Jaime Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Messi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. González Speed's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. González Speed helped the player get up and apologised. González Speed hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Corinthians's Jaime Almeida got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Pirani in the 68th minute of play. When Corinthians's Cristiano Messi in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Pirani in the 76th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Cristiano Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Messi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Cristiano Messi notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Hungary's Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jaime Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takacs Tibor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Kiril Biradzhiev. Jaime Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 91st minute of play. After 93 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Kiril Biradzhiev. In the 94th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary played a much better game than Corinthians and deserved their victory. The Corinthians players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
