If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Netherlands:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Buitenhout FC:s goal. Tudor Mihoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Buitenhout FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Tudor Mihoc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Mihoc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 20th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yorrick Hekman in the 23rd minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferry Hebels in the 31st minute of play. Tudor Mihoc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yorrick Hekman in the 38th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Buitenhout FC got a freekick which was hit by David Jans. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tudor Mihoc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferry Hebels in the 59th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Tudor Mihoc threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wim Wilmes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sjaak Degens in the 64th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Mihoc having to interfere. Buitenhout FC made a substitution. Ruud Reinders replaced Sjaak Degens. 76 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Ferry Hebels came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Mihoc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucky Reinders during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucky Reinders hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 94th minute. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferry Hebels, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Buitenhout FC's Ferry Hebels. But to his dismay, Ferry Hebels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.
