When Chris Mergenthaler fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Chris Mergenthaler a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Koulis Gialesakis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Koulis Gialesakis really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Stavros Konidakis kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Frank Sachs scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celalettin Eraltay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Benito Bento sent off a good shot on target. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celalettin Eraltay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Benito Bento notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Celalettin Eraltay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stelios Tavoularis got free with Tommy Kahn in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Germany's Linus Schwerner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stavros Konidakis, made in the 36th minute of the game. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kipouroi FC's goalkeeper Celalettin Eraltay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofoklis Koutsopoulos in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Babbis Zigouris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albin Holweck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Celalettin Eraltay made a huge save. In the 60th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Kipouroi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Celalettin Eraltay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Alexis Sifakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Kipouroi FC got a freekick which was hit by Benito Bento. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Celalettin Eraltay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Chris Mergenthaler kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Germany's Linus Schwerner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stavros Konidakis, made in the 88th minute of the game. In the 88th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Sachs to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Sifakis in the 93rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stavros Konidakis kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
