Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guido Vissenaeken kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Vissenaeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 11th minute of play. When Guido Vissenaeken came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Brugge United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Vissenaeken couldn't finish the play. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the Italy defense, Ümit Karan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Vittori should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute Porziano Marchitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guido Vissenaeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. In the 34th minute Brugge United were awarded a corner. Jaspar Van Den Broeck went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Jaspar Van Den Broeck almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Italy's Flavio Vittori did a great save. 36 minutes into the match, Italy's Porziano Marchitelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Baia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Guido Vissenaeken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Zaccheo Andolina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Baia was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. After 44 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Gaúcho. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaccheo Andolina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Baia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Guido Vissenaeken managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brugge United's supporters rose to their feet, but Guido Vissenaeken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Vittori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 54th minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe was substituted for Guido Vissenaeken. Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts was substituted for Jaspar Van Den Broeck. Vítor Baia was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Zaccheo Andolina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zaccheo Andolina really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 70 minutes into the game, Arnauld Van Impe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maksim Rilski to maneuver through the defense. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ümit Karan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guiscardo Davide to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Brugge United getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Sandro Gaúcho hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Curto in the 91st minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 minutes Brugge United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Siricio Liotta who took care of the corner kick. 93 minutes into the game, Adriano Curto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vítor Baia. Adriano Curto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2.
