Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hector Etxepare kicked off to start the match. Olympique Salonais's Raymond Foubert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Zheng Liang Song shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Song Peng Xi in the 13th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tang Xi Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Olympique Salonais's defenders and the ball went out. Netherlands appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raymond Foubert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 30th minute of play forced Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Raymond Foubert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Olympique Salonais getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cheng Feng hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raymond Foubert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Olympique Salonais's Jean-Christophe Grenard got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute, Tang Xi Zhen made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 44th minute, Hector Etxepare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 49 minutes, Noël Maunoury mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olympique Salonais and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 49 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Olympique Salonais! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olympique Salonais's Raymond Foubert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Olympique Salonais from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zheng Liang Song in the 77th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Zheng Liang Song made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Olympique Salonais's Marc Chiquet was substituted for Cheng Feng. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olympique Salonais made a substitution. Hilario Chale replaced Zheng Liang Song. 87 minutes into the match, Olympique Salonais's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Raymond Foubert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Etxepare in the 92nd minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Olympique Salonais's goalkeeper Raymond Foubert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. After a defensive mix-up in Olympique Salonais's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Foubert came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
