Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Carrizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Žalia Giria's Adolfo Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 4th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 5th minute. After 9 minutes, David Eikelkamp made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Žalia Giria's Adolfo Carrizo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Adolfo Carrizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Žalia Giria booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gust Ennemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the game, one of FC Žalia Giria:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Žalia Giria's Adolfo Carrizo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 26th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Wim Wilmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Saúl Gentiletti made the kick off in the second half. When Saúl Gentiletti fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Žalia Giria's protests and gave Saúl Gentiletti a yellow card for diving instead. Saúl Gentiletti hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Adolfo Carrizo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adolfo Carrizo came out and tried to block the shot, but Wim Wilmes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 78th minute. FC Žalia Giria's Titas Rapalis was substituted for Jack Grealish. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saúl Gentiletti in the 83rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Titas Rapalis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Wim Wilmes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adolfo Carrizo. The goal made the score 0-3. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
