In the 3rd minute, Armando Paraibano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 6 played minutes Camporioccio VS got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Johan Blomqvist. After having played for 10 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Hell in the 13th minute of the match. When Egbert Nijveldt fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Egbert Nijveldt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. Fulvio Padula hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Camporioccio VS's goalkeeper Genco Ekinci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Armando Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute of play forced Camporioccio VS's goalkeeper Genco Ekinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Camporioccio VS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Hell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aaron Blom went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the match, Camporioccio VS's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Genco Ekinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Paraibano got free with Arnout Reekers in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Camporioccio VS's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genco Ekinci came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genco Ekinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucian Florei kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Genco Ekinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Florei in the 60th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Hell, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Florei in the 66th minute of the match. Genco Ekinci made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Camporioccio VS defense, Lars Meesters kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genco Ekinci. The Camporioccio VS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genco Ekinci should have stopped the shot. Camporioccio VS made a substitution. Emilio Crema replaced Karl-Johan Blomqvist. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Comunardo Potenza in the 82nd minute of the match.
