After a defensive mix-up in Nantwich's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denny Mullan came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denny Mullan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Takacs Tibor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Nantwich's zone, Takacs Tibor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denny Mullan came out of the goal and Takacs Tibor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denny Mullan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denny Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 42nd minute of the match. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute, Albert Jowsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 林悦傲 to make the kick off. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 林悦傲 in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Nantwich's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Denny Mullan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when Nantwich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billie Rothery didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute, 林悦傲 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Nantwich's Stan Bannatyne was substituted for Reynaldo Estebe. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denny Mullan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 78th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Bannatyne in the 79th minute of the match. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denny Mullan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Nantwich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stan Bannatyne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stan Bannatyne, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 94th minute, James Warnett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
