Without hesitation aimed to the right of Casper Claes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ime Mavros's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Casper Claes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Abbiati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as KANONIERZY's Ime Mavros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casper Claes. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. Gösta Söderberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Casper Claes could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in KANONIERZY's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Abbiati came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ime Mavros's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, KANONIERZY's Ime Mavros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 33 in the game by Gösta Söderberg from a close distance when the talented Casper Claes managed to make a qualified save. Belgium's players were relieved. In the 35thth minute of the game Ime Mavros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Casper Claes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, KANONIERZY's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Christian Abbiati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ime Mavros, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Christian Abbiati showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 42nd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind KANONIERZY's goalkeeper Christian Abbiati, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ime Mavros in the 55th minute of play. Floris Claeys kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Abbiati. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, KANONIERZY's Ime Mavros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
