When Ionel Fetanu came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the CSM ALEXANDRIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ionel Fetanu couldn't finish the play. Maximiliano Quilino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Airidas Brazauskas having to interfere. Tomás Avellaneda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Zota in the 22nd minute of play forced Albiceleste F.C.'s goalkeeper Clemente Artizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Ilica hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Tomás Avellaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mihnea Harnagea might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Artizar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee ignored Albiceleste F.C.'s protests and gave Froilan Soter a yellow card for diving instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ionel Fetanu made a kick off. A collision led to Albiceleste F.C. getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tomás Avellaneda hit a great ball. After 57 minutes, Victor Zota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CSM ALEXANDRIA and the Albiceleste F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor Zota kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Airidas Brazauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Avellaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Aristide Ciompec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomás Avellanedas short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Airidas Brazauskas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tomás Avellaneda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Airidas Brazauskas having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, CSM ALEXANDRIA's goalkeeper Airidas Brazauskas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Avellaneda. Victor Zota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Clemente Artizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
