When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Prudencio Bras took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Chicão Peixoto to make any attempt to save it. In the 7th minute, Prospero Santo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Prudencio Bras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Peixoto. Gato Preto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Bras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 15th minute, Prospero Santo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chicão Peixoto. The goal made the score 3-0. Olav Suur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Henrique in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Prudencio Bras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Chicão Peixoto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Prospero Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Gato Preto FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato Pernambucano. Chicão Peixoto came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Punua's Damaso Gotzon. But to his dismay, Damaso Gotzon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 32nd minute Prospero Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Gato Preto FC's goalkeeper Chicão Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prudencio Bras. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prudencio Bras got free with Chicão Peixoto in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Damaso Gotzon got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Prudencio Bras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dênis Alcântara during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gato Preto FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dênis Alcântara hit a great ball. The supporters of Punua booed when Gato Preto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prudencio Bras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chicão Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Bruno Henrique's late challenge caught a Punua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Henrique helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gato Preto FC's Bruno Henrique got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Prudencio Bras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Peixoto. Gato Preto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Bras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Prudencio Bras kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Chicão Peixoto. That made the score 7-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.
In the 54th minute, Adalberto Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 minutes of play, Punua's Prospero Santo made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chicão Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Prospero Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Peixoto was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 62nd minute Prospero Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Gotzon took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chicão Peixoto. Chicão Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Punua made a substitution. Dida Melo replaced Rafael Ioritz. In the 79th minute, one of Gato Preto FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gato Preto FC. The referee gave Punua a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Damaso Gotzon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gato Preto FC's Chicão Peixoto. 10-0. 85 minutes into the game, Anderson Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gato Preto FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Punua the free kick. After 85 played minutes Gato Preto FC got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Carneiro. Adalberto Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adalberto Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Adalberto Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prudencio Bras was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Chicão Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Bras in the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gato Preto FC's zone, Damaso Gotzon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão Peixoto came out of the goal and Damaso Gotzon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Omiros Giannitsanakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Punua's supporters rose to their feet, but Omiros Giannitsanakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Prospero Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Punua walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
