The corner led Arrozal FC's Agostinho Melo to fire away a dangerous shot which Teofilo Amato despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Nomads Football Club's goalkeeper Teofilo Amato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Moreno. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bert Justens was the one to do the kick off. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Arrozal FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Saraiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Nomads Football Club's Perivaldo Saraiva threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claudio Quiroga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Arrozal FC booed when Nomads Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Dennon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teofilo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Farias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
