Perivaldo Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lobo Zornoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With an all-out effort, Arrozal FC's Juvenal Sergipano threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Erubiel Farias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 10 minutes into the match, Célio Fontes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Arrozal FC's Perivaldo Saraiva. Perivaldo Saraiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Célio Fontes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Perivaldo Saraiva. When Célio Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Célio Fontes couldn't finish the play. Arrozal FC were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dé da Costa took the corner. The corner led Arrozal FC's Dé da Costa to fire away a dangerous shot which Juvenal Sergipano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Célio Fontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perivaldo Saraiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After some careless play in the Arrozal FC defense, Célio Fontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perivaldo Saraiva. The Arrozal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perivaldo Saraiva should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Célio Fontes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perivaldo Saraiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Perivaldo Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Erubiel Farias came free, but Juvenal Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Lobo Zornoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Célio Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Perivaldo Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erubiel Farias made a kick off. If Célio Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 56 minutes, Lobo Zornoza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lobo Zornoza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Célio Fontes sped through Arrozal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Perivaldo Saraiva. When Arrozal FC's Fernando Moreno in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Célio Fontes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Perivaldo Saraiva. That made the score 0-6 in the 69 minute of play. Perivaldo Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Johnson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Arrozal FC's zone, Célio Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Saraiva came out of the goal and Célio Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juvenal Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Farias in the 76th minute of the match. The CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Brian Johnson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 84 minutes into the match, Arrozal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Johnson came free, but Perivaldo Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes in the game, Brian Johnson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Perivaldo Saraiva having to interfere. After 94 played minutes CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Borges. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
