Murilo da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Bayern Lessa - u21's goal looked a bit too open when Chico de Sousa came free, but Murilo da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Dobromir Zagrodny. Gabriel Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Horia Voitiş recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Duda Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duda Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Almir Pena made the kick off in the second half. Murilo da Fonseca was a little too slow when Chico de Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Murilo da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy de Brito in the 59th minute of play. Dalmo Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serge Bolado, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Laerte Bittencourt made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bayern Lessa - u21's João Adolfo Zanette. Dobromir Zagrodny's late challenge caught a Bayern Lessa - u21's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dobromir Zagrodny helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Dobromir Zagrodny hit a great ball. Murilo da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dobromir Zagrodny, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute.
