Juvenal Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Nomads Football Club's Teofilo Amato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Denver Lund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Nomads Football Club's Claudio Quiroga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Claudio Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nae Buteanu hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Bert Justens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Juvenal Sergipano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Nomads Football Club's Bert Justens fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Juvenal Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Quiroga's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Claudio Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juvenal Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Célio Fontess short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Teofilo Amato to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bert Justens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 41 minutes of play, Nomads Football Club's Claudio Quiroga made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juvenal Sergipano was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the game, Nomads Football Club's Claudio Quiroga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juvenal Sergipano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Célio Fontes to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Amado Froila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Amato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marek Tomporowski got free with Juvenal Sergipano in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofilo Amato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lobo Zornoza in the 54th minute of play. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Célio Fontes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Teofilo Amato in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lobo Zornoza in the 57th minute of play forced Nomads Football Club's goalkeeper Teofilo Amato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Bert Justens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nomads Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Bert Justens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Lobo Zornoza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teofilo Amato narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Claudio Quiroga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Sergipano was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. The corner led Nomads Football Club's Holger Dennon to fire away a dangerous shot which Juvenal Sergipano despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Teofilo Amato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Fontes in the 69th minute of play. Nae Buteanu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Claudio Quiroga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Fontes in the 86th minute of play forced Nomads Football Club's goalkeeper Teofilo Amato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bert Justens fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nomads Football Club's performance. The match ended with a win for Nomads Football Club.
