After 27 minutes of play, Germany's Frank Sachs made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilmer Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Albin Holweck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Alvarado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gallo Pinto got free with Tommy Kahn in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Brandon Aguilera notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 55 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Carlos Alvarado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. In the 59th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alvarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Carlos Alvarado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Frank Sachs hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gallo Pinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Carlos Alvarado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Carlos Alvarado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. In the 71st minute, Germany's Frank Sachs dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Alvarado saved CS La Libertad from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gallo Pinto in the 81st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83rd play minutes Frank Sachs shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Carlos Alvarado and just under the crossbar into goal. Carlos Alvarado made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Alvarado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Angelin Burgos fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS La Libertad's protests and gave Angelin Burgos a yellow card for diving instead. Angelin Burgos kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. Wilmer Murillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 97th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Germany's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
