The throw-in from Mihăiţă Puișoru in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Theis Winther. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Chris Nygaard notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Balaceanu UFC's Stelian Lalescu. Stelian Lalescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bjarne Kirkegaard's late challenge caught a Balaceanu UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bjarne Kirkegaard helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Denmark fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Stelian Lalescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Balaceanu UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Bitang to maneuver through the defense. Denmark's Theis Winther quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mihăiţă Puișoru, made in the 28th minute of the game. Stelian Lalescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Stelian Lalescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balaceanu UFC's Stelian Lalescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 42nd minute of play forced Balaceanu UFC's goalkeeper Stelian Lalescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Chris Nygaard made a precise shot to the right of Stelian Lalescu. Balaceanu UFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Mikkel Wulff managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikkel Wulff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stelian Lalescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Denmark were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Denmark's Mikkel Wulff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stelian Lalescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stelian Lalescu was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Olav Graversen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Olav Graversen really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. After a defensive mix-up in Balaceanu UFC's zone, Mikkel Wulff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stelian Lalescu came out of the goal and Mikkel Wulff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mihăiţă Puișoru made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Denmark's Theis Winther. Cornel Ştefănoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Lars Steen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Balaceanu UFC's goalie prevented a goal. Mircea Ivasiuc took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark's attentive Theis Winther managed to snatch the ball when Mihăiţă Puișoru made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. Stelian Lalescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 81st minute of play. Balaceanu UFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Chris Nygaard scored to the left of an out of position Stelian Lalescu, making the score, 2-6. Stelian Lalescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chris Nygaard went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. A sloppy throw-in by Mihăiţă Puișoru in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Theis Winther. The Denmark fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Denmark's Chris Nygaard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Denmark's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
