Beat Leutwyler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beat Leutwyler. B68 Toftir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Bengt-Arne Blomberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Bakos Endre got a free kick in the 28th minute. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hungary's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because B68 Toftir had won, even though Hungary had held more of the ball.
