The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Avantchê's Fausto do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Frank Sachs made a precise shot to the right of Fausto do Valle. Avantchê's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Frank Sachs hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Marcelo Dejean with Tuncer Bicanoğlu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Avantchê booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Douglas Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avantchê's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Usain Bolt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Pernambucano came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Avantchê's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
