The referee ignored FC Blue Twister Liberec's protests and gave Mark Vennerlund a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. In the 9th minute of the match, Cleto Matxin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gabriel Ascaso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Spain's Jon Cubero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jiří Hasman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
