Ajax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tonton Eren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Buffon having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Major Barna in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gigi Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigi Buffon. Gigi Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Paulo Maldini kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Takacs Tibor took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigi Buffon. Gigi Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chad Smith, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Tonton Eren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Klement Bryk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Klement Bryk sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Hungary booed when Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Maurino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Ajax booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Katona Janos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tonton Eren to strike the kick off in the second half. Gigi Buffon made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Hegedus Henrik sent off a good shot on target. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klement Bryk in the 60th minute of play. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 64th minute of the match. The supporters of Hungary booed when Ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Palladino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hegedus Henrik's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Gigi Buffon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Hungary's Hegedus Henrik, in the 70th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. 73 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Tonton Eren came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ajax booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balazs Lajos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ajax made a substitution. Remigiusz Galaska replaced Klement Bryk. In the 94th minute Tonton Eren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary played a much better game than Ajax and deserved their victory. The Ajax players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
