With a little luck, Romania's Carol Stinga got control of the ball when Bayan Baye tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sören Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Serban in the 38th minute of the match. Costica Vladimiri scored 0-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sören Tunberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Romania defense, Mikael Liberatore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carol Stinga. The Romania fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carol Stinga should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 47th minute of play forced Wargön's goalkeeper Sören Tunberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. With an all-out effort, Romania's Sören Tunberg threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anton Stinga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wargön's Sören Tunberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Wargön from getting a goal against them. In the 83rdth minute of the game Alexandru Pangratiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wargön's Sören Tunberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Siöberg in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bayan Baye in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carol Stinga saved Romania from getting behind. A collision led to Wargön getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Zdzislaw Liermann hit a great ball. Rasvan Cristescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Sören Tunberg made a huge save. Ivar Siöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Pangratiu in the 94th minute of play. Romania were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
