After a defensive mix-up in ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's zone, Bertram Svenningsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Gaspard came out of the goal and Bertram Svenningsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dino Del Bello managed to get in a good position for a shot. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Del Bello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Del Bello came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Del Bello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Keld Paulsen came out and tried to block the shot, but Dino Del Bello slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Arrigo Reali in the 28 minute of the game. If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 34 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Bellomo came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ were awarded a corner. Anthony Corelli went to the cornerflag to take it. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Rodrigo Gaspard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Arrigo Reali sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen skillfully saved the ball. In the 45th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Gaspard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dino Del Bello was the one to do the kick off. After 50 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Lars Steen. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Del Bello in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th minute, Mikkel Wulff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dino Del Bello managed to get in a good position for a shot. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Del Bello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 84th minute Dino Del Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's Rodrigo Gaspard got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Dino Del Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ were victorious despite being under pressure from Denmark for much of the match.
