Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Saverio Niva kicked off to start the match. After 7 played minutes Vancouver Reds got a freekick which was hit by Weldon Cordero. In the 8th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Santana Armada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Niva in the 12th minute of play. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Santana Armada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 18th minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Santana Armada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute. Wiliam Xavier tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Santana Armada. Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of play. In the 35th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santana Armada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Frances Grossman hit a great ball. In the 55th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Wim Wilmes made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Vancouver Reds's Santana Armada managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vancouver Reds throughout the match.
