Tony Cote could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Quetzal Flyers Hammers's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francesco Marines came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Sonny Perkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute Sonny Perkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Haritzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Sonny Perkins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quetzal Flyers Hammers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graham Jolicoeur, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Sonny Perkins notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anibal Haritzeder hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francesco Marines made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Sonny Perkins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot.

54 minutes into the match, Sonny Perkins had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sonny Perkins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Francesco Marines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Sonny Perkins made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Sonny Perkins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Perkins in the 76th minute of play. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 6-3 when Frank Sachs sped through Quetzal Flyers Hammers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Francesco Marines. With a little luck, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Francesco Marines got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Perkins in the 84th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
