An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play forced Fighting Burning Hearts's goalkeeper Christian Crisantemo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Meesters's late challenge caught a Fighting Burning Hearts's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars Meesters helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Kees Mooiweer. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kees Mooiweer during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Netherlands played a much better game than Fighting Burning Hearts and deserved their victory. The Fighting Burning Hearts players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
