Rakı Sevenler FC's Edvin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 8th minute of play. Tom Misaki who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Arnout Reekers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Edvin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Wim Wilmes made a precise shot to the right of Edvin van der Sar. Rakı Sevenler FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Edvin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th of the match, Joselito Gimenez tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Arnout Reekers got in the way and made a wonderful save. 37 minutes into the match, Rakı Sevenler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Edvin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rakı Sevenler FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Mikail Akgöze hit a great ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvin van der Sar having to make a save. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Misaki's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Conrad Geipel kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tom Misaki during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rakı Sevenler FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Meesters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Misaki struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rakı Sevenler FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Misaki in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Tom Misaki put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Misaki in the 80th minute of play. Edvin van der Sar was a little too slow when David Eikelkamp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 88th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edvin van der Sar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edvin van der Sar made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. Edvin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Tom Misaki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Tom Misaki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rakı Sevenler FC throughout the match.
