The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Benjamin Domazet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurel Sucigan was the one to do the kick off. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Irinel Chiriță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting a goal against them. Damir Pongrac could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Irinel Chiriță made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Damir Pongrac took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Irinel Chiriță to make any attempt to save it. Irinel Chiriță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Damir Pongrac left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Croatia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Irinel Chiriță was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Toni Mauzer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toni Mauzer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Martin Bosak got a free kick in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toni Mauzer got free with Irinel Chiriță in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Irinel Chiriță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damir Pongrac in the 89th minute of play. Damir Pongrac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Irinel Chiriță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toni Mauzer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Irinel Chiriță made a huge save. 95 minutes into the game, Croatia's Damir Pongrac nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Irinel Chiriță made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Croatia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
