Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) POLI TIMISOARA's Edgar Onea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The audience was convinced that Major Barna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dinu Săvoiu was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Călin Hulubei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinu Săvoiu saved POLI TIMISOARA from getting behind. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinu Săvoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinu Săvoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zdzislaw Hajder got free with Fodor Daniel in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. POLI TIMISOARA were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horaţiu Blăniță took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hungary's goalie and right to Zdzislaw Hajder. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hungary's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgar Onea in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fodor Daniel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 43 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horaţiu Blăniță who took care of the corner kick. After 46 played minutes POLI TIMISOARA got a freekick which was hit by King Køng. Takacs Tibor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinu Săvoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 72ndth minute of the game Hegedus Henrik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but POLI TIMISOARA's Dinu Săvoiu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute of the match, Antal Valentin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dinu Săvoiu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by POLI TIMISOARA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinu Săvoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Katona Janos to maneuver through the defense. When Edgar Onea came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the POLI TIMISOARA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Onea couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Dinu Săvoiu in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The POLI TIMISOARA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hungary were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
