After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Vörös Henrik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Afonso Sampaio quite easily take care of the ball. Afonso Sampaio was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Sampaio saved japanium from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Carlo Maggi put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fodor Daniel. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but japanium's Afonso Sampaio did a great save. In the 47th minute, Alexander Treglia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.

When Hegedus Henrik came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. Hungary were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing japanium to leave the ground with a draw.
