Cheng De Jing came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 9th minute of play forced GoldDiam V55's goalkeeper Cheng De Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, GoldDiam V55's goal looked a bit too open when David Eikelkamp came free, but Cheng De Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iulian Moți kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Barbosu in the 13th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 16 minutes, Moise Marinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GoldDiam V55's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moise Marinescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Bugariu in the 17th minute of the match. GoldDiam V55's Cheng De Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. With his leg Arnout Reekers managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when GoldDiam V55's Eliodor Barbosu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Bugariu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Bugariu in the 31st minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Bugariu came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Constantin Arnăutu got free with Arnout Reekers in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Cheng De Jing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner went over the outstretched arms of GoldDiam V55's goalie and right to Lars Meesters. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. GoldDiam V55's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Macarie in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliodor Barbosu to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of GoldDiam V55 booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Mihăiţă Macarie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. In the 60th minute Constantin Arnăutu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. GoldDiam V55's Cheng De Jing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save GoldDiam V55 from getting a goal against them. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Bugariu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
