Deilmison Davids was slow to take the kick. During this time Gavião Kyikatejê's players had a chance to rest. If Graeme Gordon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Miguel Zuasnabar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jesse McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Zuasnabar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sitthachat Jampeehom was a little too slow when Phillip McKeochan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 35th minute, Miguel Zuasnabar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Zuasnabar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesse McJames read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Gavião Kyikatejê's Sitthachat Jampeehom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graeme Gordon in the 43rd minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phillip McKeochan. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Graeme McRobie made a kick off. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 70 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goalkeeper Jesse McJames had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Archie Brodie. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Rodney Lindov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gavião Kyikatejê's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodney Lindov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesse McJames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jesse McJames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Zuasnabar in the 76th minute of the match. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean McDrain in the 79th minute of the match. Sean McDrain scored 2-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sitthachat Jampeehom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the game, Smiddy Celts's Graeme Gordon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 95th match minute, Gavião Kyikatejê was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Brodie to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Smiddy Celts fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gavião Kyikatejê had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
