Piers Harris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mickey Hammett in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jesse McJames, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Graeme McRobie hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Máximo Čapo in the 23rd minute of play forced Smiddy Celts's goalkeeper Jesse McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Graeme McRobie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme McRobie in the 29th minute of play forced Team Pogba's goalkeeper Piers Harris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Team Pogba defense, Graeme Gordon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piers Harris. The Team Pogba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piers Harris should have stopped the shot. After having played for 35 minutes, Mickey Hammett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Pogba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mickey Hammett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jesse McJames was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Max Budge showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 40 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Team Pogba's Jesse McJames threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Max Budge, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Smiddy Celts's Jesse McJames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Budge in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Graeme McRobie made a kick off. Máximo Čapo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse McJames having to interfere. In the 53rd minute Graeme McRobie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Harris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesse McJames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Hammett in the 54th minute of the match. Jesse McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Budge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Graeme Gordon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piers Harris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piers Harris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phillip McKeochan in the 65th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Max Budge in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jesse McJames prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Max Budge put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jesse McJames. Smiddy Celts made a substitution. Taylor McCaw replaced Mbadiwe Mpenza. Smiddy Celts's Sean McDrain was substituted for Graeme McRobie. 77 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goal looked a bit too open when Max Budge came free, but Jesse McJames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesse McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sander Roeles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Team Pogba's Piers Harris got control of the ball when Phillip McKeochan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Sander Roeles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Smiddy Celts's Jesse McJames played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Budge in the 89th minute of play. Jesse McJames showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piers Giles in the 90th minute of the match. If Mickey Hammett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Team Pogba's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
