The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedicto Atarratze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd match minute, Romania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Barbulescu to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Selebi-Phikwe's zone, Anton Stinga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christof Deroek came out of the goal and Anton Stinga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Selebi-Phikwe's goalie prevented a goal. Christof Deroek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Stinga's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Romania were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Selebi-Phikwe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sanda Cutov took the corner. When the final whistle sounded Romania left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Selebi-Phikwe.
