After having played for 15 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardo Molina hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Ermegildo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute of play. Ermegildo Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Asier Izquierdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. If Xurxo Lagunas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermegildo Delgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 53rd minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Tormes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Asturcones d´la Abadía's Bichiko Candamo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ermegildo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Asturcones d´la Abadía booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 91st minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado managed to reach the ball for a save. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ermegildo Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 94th minute of the match.
