After taking down the ball on Denmark's corner Chris Nygaard fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eric Fredriksson quite easily take care of the ball. In the 5th match minute, Balders Hage IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigvard Brask to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Denmark booed when Balders Hage IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hjalmar Helström didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 15 minutes, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Denmark's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Nygaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eric Fredriksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertram Svenningsen went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eric Fredriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alf Felin fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balders Hage IF's protests and gave Alf Felin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Balders Hage IF's Alf Felin got a free kick in the 25th minute. Denmark's attentive Theis Winther managed to snatch the ball when Valter Volberg made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. Bertram Svenningsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Eric Fredriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Sigvard Brask put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Keld Paulsen. 41 minutes into the game, Balders Hage IF's Nils Asklund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. 44 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils Asklund. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 53rd minute of play forced Balders Hage IF's goalkeeper Eric Fredriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Chris Nygaard sped through Balders Hage IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eric Fredriksson. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Fredriksson was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Kenn Skou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Fredriksson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Balders Hage IF's Eric Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 77th minute of play. After 78 minutes, Hjalmar Helström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balders Hage IF and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hjalmar Helström hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Alf Felin made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Valter Volberg immediately put the ball in play. With his leg Eric Fredriksson managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Denmark's Chris Nygaard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sigvard Brask in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eric Fredriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 90th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Eric Fredriksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Denmark's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
