Manuel Isăilă who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Arnout Reekers when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Manuel Isăilă put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Gust Ennemans made in the 28th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gustaaf Groeneveldt immediately put the ball in play. After 33 minutes of play, Ninjas in Pyjamas's Manuel Isăilă made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 38 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great ball. In the 42nd match minute, Ninjas in Pyjamas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rareș Tatulici to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Ninjas in Pyjamas's Armağan Yörük. In the 44thth minute of the game Manuel Isăilă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cai Yue Guang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ninjas in Pyjamas fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Ninjas in Pyjamas's Manuel Isăilă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Armağan Yörük managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gust Ennemans in the 76 minute of the game. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Isăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
