The audience thought a goal was coming when Betinho Rodrigues got free with Casper Claes in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Betinho Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seed Town West's protests and gave Betinho Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betinho Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A very nice done corner allowed Sven Herling to score against Casper Claes in Belgium's goal. 2-0 after 86 minutes. Fillip Sivananda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
