Kirima FC's Pedro Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 11th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pedro Arias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pedro Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirima FC's Pedro Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Kirima FC's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emiliano Cabeza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edelmiro Valerio was slow to take the kick. During this time Kirima FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Kirima FC's Carlos Gorbea getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 29 minutes, Emiliano Cabeza made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kirima FC's goalkeeper Pedro Arias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Kirima FC got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Valerio. 52 minutes into the match, Kirima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Pedro Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 56th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Pedro Arias in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Arias. Kirima FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Lars Meesters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play.
