The supporters of GORNIK PIASKI booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes of play, GORNIK PIASKI's Marc-André Van Bastén made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marc-André Van Bastén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Marc-André Van Bastén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marc-André Van Bastén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Marc-André Van Bastén recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Marc-André Van Bastén showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when GORNIK PIASKI's Marc-André Van Bastén fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marc-André Van Bastén might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc-André Van Bastén ran back to his position shaking his head. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Marc-André Van Bastén capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marc-André Van Bastén really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Boguslaw Zawaski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Holweck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boguslaw Zawaski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 52nd minute. In the last second Boguslaw Zawaski throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ulrich Stein in the 52ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc-André Van Bastén in the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Marc-André Van Bastén came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc-André Van Bastén in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Tomasz Burufski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boguslaw Zawaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marc-André Van Bastén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Boguslaw Zawaski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Holweck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. GORNIK PIASKI had played much better football throughout.
