Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 2 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Malte Schiele. Tommy Kahn acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Hermínio Bomba. The crowd rose to their feet as Valadas's Nuno Cunha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Valadas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hermínio Bomba in the 10th minute. Valadas's Hermínio Bomba was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 14 played minutes Valadas got a freekick which was hit by Margrímur Ásmundsson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Cunha in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Valadas's Takeshi Schims dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Nuno Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Cunha came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Nuno Cunha sent off a good shot on target. In the 37thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valadas's Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valadas's goalie prevented a goal. After 43 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Willy Stieler. In the 44th minute, Hermínio Bomba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Margrímur Ásmundsson's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Margrímur Ásmundsson helped the player get up and apologised. Margrímur Ásmundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Germany's Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albin Holweck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel made a huge save. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 59th minute of play. Valadas's Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Cunha came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Nuno Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valadas's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th match minute, Valadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Bomba to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Dreifuss kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 73 played minutes, Valadas's Hermínio Bomba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valadas reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 75th minute of play forced Valadas's goalkeeper Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute of the match, Albin Holweck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Valadas's Nuno Cunha in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 93rd minute of play forced Valadas's goalkeeper Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
