Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Nuno Cunha made the kick off and thus started the match. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Major Barna's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After 5 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Valadas's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Major Barna made a precise shot to the right of Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel. Valadas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Hermínio Bomba might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hermínio Bomba ran back to his position shaking his head. 13 minutes into the game, Nuno Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Fodor Daniel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 17 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Hungary's Antal Valentin in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valadas's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Valadas's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermínio Bomba scored 2-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Valadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Valido to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hermínio Bomba was slow to take the kick. During this time Valadas's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Valadas's Margrímur Ásmundsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Fodor Daniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After the first half Hungary were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Valadas's goalkeeper Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. A hard shot 55 in the game by Antal Valentin from a close distance when the talented Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel managed to make a qualified save. Valadas's players were relieved. 56 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Bomba came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62ndth minute of the game Hermínio Bomba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Hungary's Major Barna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. 67 minutes into the match, Valadas's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 70th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Valadas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Bomba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hermínio Bomba who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Valadas's corner Hermínio Bomba fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel made a huge save. In the 92nd minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Valadas.
