Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nuno Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Nuno Cunhas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Takeshi Schims could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. The Valadas fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Valadas's Nuno Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nuno Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Tommy Kahn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Nuno Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nuno Cunha made the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Cunha in the 51st minute of play. If Hermínio Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th match minute, Valadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Conde to maneuver through the defense. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hermínio Bomba ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Valadas's corner Hermínio Bomba fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tommy Kahn quite easily take care of the ball. Valadas's Nuno Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Cunha took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Cunha in the 84th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Hermínio Bomba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Margrímur Ásmundsson made in the 90th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nuno Cunha immediately put the ball in play. Hermínio Bomba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 95 played minutes Valadas got a freekick which was hit by Matias Conde. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerd-Peter Meiswinkel having to interfere.
